Dev Watercooler: Gearing Up for Legion PvP

Legion PvP Overview

Player stats are now automatically set in PvP and increased based on your average item level.

In Legion, when players win a Battleground, Skirmish, Arena, or Rated Battleground, they have a chance to receive a piece of gear directly. Furthermore, your first few victories per week in each rated bracket will reward a guaranteed piece of gear, which has its item level increased based on your rating in the bracket.

Gear will not be from PvP currencies and vendors.

Legion Respec Costs Removed; Talent Changing Restricted

Respec costs are removed; players can just swap between specializations freely.

Changing talents is now more restricted. Without any reagent cost in the Legion beta, it was easy for players to swap talents so frequently (i.e. every pull in a dungeon) to where talents could simply feel like extra UI navigation instead of a meaningful choice.

Talents will now be restricted outside of safe "Rested" areas, and scribes can craft a Tome allowing nearby players to retalent freely for a period of time.

Edit: a followup post was made:

The Inscription-created item would be something anyone could drop, not restricted by profession.

The materials required to make the items would be along the lines of a group consumable, not lesser mats for individual consumables.

Talents are about having meaningful choices and if you could respec nonstop, it would feel like you simply had all abilities available and a lengthy spellbook.

World of Warcraft Legion Beta Patch Notes

New Hero Class: Demon Hunter. Check them out in our guide, Talent Calculator, Honor Calculator, Artifact Calculator and Legion Dressing Room.

The Level cap is increased to 110, there is an additional character slot, and you can try out a new spec before committing to it with a boost via Class Trials!

The Broken Isles is a new continent to explore and we have tons of screenshots on our zone pages as well as a video playlist.

Artifacts are powerful weapons unique to each spec for the expansion. You can unlock traits that modify abilities, socket relics to increase the power of specific traits, and unlock new appearances and tints by completing different kinds of content. Our Artifact Calculator lets you choose your traits and relics as well as preview all the appearances! We also have a brand-new Artifact Overview answering basic questions.

Each class has a special Order Hall filled with lore NPCs where you can hang out just with your class! There is also a special quest campaign as well as some Champions to recruit and Missions to complete. We also have videos of each Order Hall.

There are 10 new dungeons, which you can read about in our Legion Dungeon Journal, available on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic Difficulty. We also have a series of video guides produced by Method to each dungeon.

The concept of Challenge Mode dungeons gets a new spin in Legion. Players who complete a Mythic dungeon may earn a Mythic Keystone pointing to a random Legion dungeon, enabling access to progressively more challenging levels of difficulty, with commensurate rewards. These mobs in Mythic+ dungeons will get special challenging affixes, which then change your dungeon strategy!

Questing is improved in Legion; each leveling zone dynamically scales to your level so you don't have to worry about outleveling them. At max level, you can complete World Quests which have a variety of objectives and award reputation. Learn more about World Quests and Reputation in our guide.

PvP is getting some major updates in Legion with PvP-specific abilities and a revamped Honor system that unlocks new ability choices as you progress through the system, as well as vanity Prestige rewards like mounts such as Ginete Real Prestigioso and pets. Transmog is getting a major update in Legion, with account-wide collections to free up bag space! We've compiled answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions, and have a variety of site tools to help you plan out set like the Legion Dressing Room which supports Demon Hunter customization and Legion Artifacts, an Outfit database so you can see what other users put together, transmog sets for officially-matching items, and popular transmog pairings on each item and transmog set page. Many classes received improved spell animations and combat effects, especially melee, and we've made video previews of most of them. Keep checking back for more!

Legendary items are world drops and you can browse a full list in our items database.

Collectors will enjoy dozens of new Mounts like Casulo de Dentessangue, Pets, and toys. 300 Toys rewards Extrator de Lenha Mecanizado! New mounts can be previewed on your character in the Legion Dressing Room and we have many mount videos

Professions are getting some big updates, including lots of quests, an improved UI, and recipe ranks. Equipment limits on the amount of crafted gear that can be worn have been removed. Check out the changes in our Profession Guide, as well as the coolest new stuff for each profession.

Development of the World of Warcraft: Legion expansion is well underway, and we’d like to take some time to update everyone on how things are progressing.

Assistant Game Director Ion “Watcher” Hazzikostas will be joined by online gaming personality Jesse Cox to discuss a number of topics, including Class Halls, max-level content, the Demon Hunter, and a status update on what our next priorities are for Legion development.

Legion Reputation Overview

A handful of story quests grant reputation.

World quests in each zone give reputation, usually 250. If a World quest gives reputation, it will state it on the in-game tooltip. World quests are available on the map for varying amounts of time and require you to be 110. These send you to do different things like killing rares, elites, a number of regular mobs, or even winning a pet battle.

An additional way to gain reputation is to complete 4 World quests for a featured faction. When you open up your map, you will see what the featured faction is at the bottom-left. You will gain additional reputation for completing this objective, as well as a cache of loot. You can have up to 3 active Emissary quests at once, so you don't need to worry about logging in every day to keep up with Emissary quests.

Insignias can be found in treasure chests around the Broken Isles and award 200 reputation. You do not need to be 110 to loot an insignia.
