Just a few new Blizzard posts today in the midst of all of the exciting 4.2 PTR goodies! Blizzard has snuck in a handful of Cataclysm hotfixes, the iDevice / Android Mobile Armory app now features (for a limited time) free guild chat for all realms, and Blizzard posters tackle player concerns such as allowing all flying mounts to function as ground mounts in "no-fly" zones and more! News Roundup: May 2nd Hotfixes and Blizzard Daily Posts
Some hotfixes were just posted for 4.2--a lot of minor quest changes and fixes to things that broke at 4.1's launch, nothing too important. Additionally, we have your roundup of daily blue posts in which they give advice on how to deal with bad players and tease to BoA gear eventually being cross-server at some point in the not too distant future!

Today's posts include the lateest Cataclysm hotfixes, a retrospective on the quality of Trial of the Crusader and a bit of input from Zarhym on just how "friggin' epic" Firelands is going to be. Who cares if there's "only" seven bosses, if those seven bosses and their encounters are

Some interrupts were still incorrectly missing targets. Wind Shear, Spell Lock, Counterspell, Mind Freeze, and hunter pet abilities Nether Shock and Serenity Dust should no longer miss.
Characters who mount up with a pet bar active should no longer lose control of the pet if they dismount while under the effects of any crowd control.

Divine Aegis will no longer produce a shield if the full heal that should cause it is a

Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes (4/26 - 4/28)
Here you'll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to the recently released World of Warcraft: Cataclysm patch 4.1: Rise of the Zandalari. Hotfixes are updates we make on our end without requiring you to download a new patch. Some of the hotfixes below will go live the moment they are implemented, while others may require your realm to be restarted to go into effect. Conquest Changes and Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes (April 26th)
Apparently conquest earned for rated PvP was changed to a flat amount regardless of team rating this patch. This was not included in the patch notes, but it's a fairly interesting change--one that's already generating a fair amount of negative feedback on Blizzard's official forums. They're looking into the amounts to see if they need to be changed; right now it's 135 conquest points for winning an arena match and 335 for a rated battleground.
Of course, that's if you can even login. Patch days generally mean hotfixes and today is no exception, but at least
Zul'Aman
and
Zul'Gurub
are finally accessible if you're patient enough. There are no estimated deployment times for some of these hotfixes, however, Blizzard says sometime this morning they should be implemented for all servers.
Conquest Earned Changed to Flat Rating
In patch 4.1 the amount of Conquest earned for both Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds has been changed to a flat amount regardless of team rating, to 135 and 335 respectively. This change should of course have been in the patch 4.1 notes, but due to a fairly straight forward error, was not included.

Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes (March 25 - March 29)
Just a tiny batch of new hotfixes, all of which were implemented between March 25 - March 29. Maybe Blizzard is finally running out of things to fix? Yeah, right. Don't worry, 4.1 will bring a whole new mess of changes and bugfixes all too soon! Nothing too incredibly interesting today, though I'm sure it was funny how players were using
prior to the fix, and I'll definitely welcome the lack of aggressive mobs near one of the more common

Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes (March 17 - 24)
Some more hotfixes went just went live today, though nothing as groundbreaking as
the last batch
. It seems some bugs were fixed and a possible exploit was also fixed. Honestly, you'd think that with the sordid history of NPCs and their spells being stolen by players for other encounters, their buffs disappearing when players zone out would be common sense by now. Well, maybe next time!

It's been so long without Cataclysm hotfixes, I almost missed these! *runs away and hides*
Just a few new hotfixes since March began, as I'm sure Blizzard is extremely busy preparing for patch 4.1 and may finally be running out of things to hotfix in patch 4.0.6 (though I'm sure many of you guys will quickly and eagerly tell me how very wrong I am about that). There's still some time before 4.1 hits so we'll probably see a lot of necessary changes either making their way live or being implemented with the next patch!

Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes (March 1)
Just two little hotfixes today. Nobody liked that Tol Barad escort, anyway. In fact, I don't think anyone likes any escort quest.
PvP
Flag carriers in rated Battlegrounds now take 25% more damage from all magical and physical attacks. The 25% additional damage from carrying the flag stacks with the Focus and Brutal Assault debuffs. Flag carriers in normal Battlegrounds are not affected by this change.

Devouring flame maximum damage has been reduced.
Theralion's damage should now be more consistent with Valiona's on 10-player Heroic difficulty.
Twilight Blast damage has been reduced on 10-player Heroic difficulty.
Twilight Protection now lasts 6 seconds, up from 3.
Players should now always receive the Twilight Protection buff when entering the Twilight Realm.

Upcoming Changes to Dungeon Finder and Vote Kick
Tonight, Blizzard has posted some upcoming changes being made to the Dungeon Finder and Vote Kick in-game features.
These changes, which will most likely be implemented with next week's maintenance, offer more severe penalty to players abusing the Dungeon Finder's Vote Kick functionality when queueing with friends or guildies.

We’re making a number of hotfixes to address use of the Dungeon Finder and vote kick tools. The following hotfixes will require realm restarts to implement, which are likely to be next Tuesday’s weekly maintenance.
Players who are outside a dungeon for more than 3 minutes are now immediately able to be kicked.
If queuing as a group with a tank or healer, and the tank or healer drops group (or is kicked) soon after joining, those that queued with them will also be removed from the dungeon.
If three or more players group queue with each other it will require an additional vote for them to kick anyone they did not group queue with.
If a group queue of 4 kicks the one person that they did not group queue with they will each receive a mor

Upcoming Healer Changes! Resto Shaman Specialization Buffed, Power Word: Shield Mana Cost Increased
Looks like Blizzard is interested in taking some necessary steps towards balancing out healers in Cataclysm! As anyone who plays a healer (or healers) in Cataclysm has realized, the classes are pretty terribly balanced compared to each other - for example, priests were almost downright unplayable at launch, and now they're rather overpowered! Some other healing specs have just been relatively lackluster in comparison. Restoration shamans, for example - have you seen the

? Yeesh.
To address some concerns, Blizzard is making two major changes via upcoming hotfixes - the

's mana cost will be
increased
by 33% and
Xamã
passive specialization is being increased to 25% (from 10%). In addition, the addition of healing cooldowns have been proposed for both Restoration Shamans and Druids in an upcoming patch!

Just a few new hotfixes today - including a buff to raid boss kill guild reputation / experience gain! Awesome!

The amount of guild reputation and guild experience gained from killing a raid boss has been dramatically increased, as the previous rate felt too low compared to the difficulty of progressing through raid content. This change will require a realm restart to take effect, which will be next Tuesday's weekly scheduled maintenance at the latest.

Latest Cataclysm Hotfixes - Updated! (Feb 11)
Blizzard sure is unleashing some hotfixes today, with their recently posted list being updated yet again with even more changes.

Notable changes include:
Players can now Ignore other characters from different realms or battlegroups when queuing for Battlegrounds or dungeons using the command: /ignore playername-servername(region). Note that the user interface Ignore function and "/ignore playername" command still do not work correctly for players on different battlegroups and will require a future patch to correct.

Blizzard Reverts 'The Exalted' Title Change, Now Requires 40 Reputations (Again)
Due to intense response from players, after extensive internal discussion Blizzard has decided to revert their recent change to
the Exalted
title. Recently, this title was changed to be awarded only after reaching 50 Exalted reputations, up from the 40 previously required.
As a result, players who had previously earned the title with 40 reputations had the title taken away from them, with their only method of re-obtaining it being to get more Exalted reputations. Blizzard has since decided this was unfair, and due to a lack of a proper way to award the title to players who earned it from 40, and then moving the title up to requiring 50

, it will now require 40 Exalted reputations again.
Recently we changed the Exalted title to require 50 exalted titles up from 40, which meant those that had achieved it were now asked to get 10 more reputations to gain the title back. We felt this kept the title as a difficult reward given the additional reputations introduced with Cataclysm, and also avoided the problem of achievement
