The same effect as Goblin Rocket Helmet (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=10588) but with a slightly longer cooldown (30 mins), only obtainable by the Horde because Eric "The Swift" (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/npc=6907) is friendly to the Alliance.

While farming for Olaf's shield on my 70 warrior, This dropped off one of the guys. I thought I'd just end up vendoring it but figured it would be worth testing it out.
I thought it wouldn't be useful at 70 cos it says it has a chance to fizzle but on the 70-71 cat things I tested it out against it actually worked. But not on the first 3 tries, what happens is you click to use it and a messges shows up saying Item Fizzles or something but it doesnt put the helm on Cool Down so you can click again straight away, and i'm pretty sure it doesn't even start a global cooldown so you just spam click it until it works.

It has a 30min Cool Down once it actually goes off and stuns on NPC's for about 30secs and Players for about 10seconds I havent had much of a chance to test it because of the long CD but it did work against the 70 Pally I dueled to test and the 70 NE warrior I was fighting in AV.

Hopefully tonight I'll test it in arena to see how useful it is, 10sec CC for a warrior is pretty good and since i havent got a very decent helm yet i'm not worried about downgrading to much for this helm. Plus if I get out of combat you can switch it out quickly.

Im posting this mainly because I was surprised at how the "Chance to fizzle" thing works, I thought it would basically just not work and put it on Cool Down but it doesn't, so far its never taken more that 4 clicks to get it to work. Now I'm gonna try and find other items which I disregarded because i thought the Chance to fizzle thing made them useless.

BTW 20 runs and no Shield :(

Hashshashin there are 9% on Horned Viking Helmet drops so you must be really lucky i got Horned Viking Helmet on my warrior i jump in my chair than then dropped :)

This used to be boe, I got it for a nifty 15g when I turned 40 back in the day... Was great for bandaging up mid fight.

Scary isn't it? This item is the only real CC a DPS warrior ever have and it doesn't work past 60.

In case someone doesn't get it, this mob himself and his helmet are from the Lost Vikings, one of the older Blizzard games. In that game, Eric the Swift could charge and break walls with his head, which knocked him out for a few seconds(no wonder). This item looks superb when worn, btw

This is one of the best helmets there is. The proc (BTW it has a 30 minute cooldown) on is is awesome for PVP and has saved my butt many times. Another cool thing is its only avalible to Horde (Im guessing they didnt want pallys to have the charging ability). And lastly it is cool looking. It looks like a viking helmet with 2 big horns that stick straight up and has a big red symbol in the front. I have never seen anyone else with this helmet, and I get complements on it all the time. I suggest all Horde warriors to get it!

L41 Warrior with this helm, got it as a drop off the zippy lil drawf in Uldaman last weekend. It's not a sure thing - we've done Uldaman in a group three times and it dropped only once. Testing it out since, it is truly excellent in PvP.

Very easy to get to as a warrior...head into uldaman...keep left and you will get to eric easily.

With a little luck you can get in with no other agro (ie faster than fighting your way in).

took me about 20 runs....but it is a dang fun item...and too usefull !

Charge...intercept...helm charge....intercept back up. Great for blinking mages, or hunters fond of traps.

The stun gives plenty of time for a bandage.....so...enjoy ;)

Negative! you lose a lot of hps compared to valor....but it is worth it for the uses you get (ie I keep it in my bag and swap when I see I might need it).

Managed to farm the dwarves and Gizlock or whatever that white ugly one is called @ lvl58 without fighting most other mobs.
Did need a healing potion to take on all 3 dwarves at once.
Just a lot of wallhugging and walking over edges :)

Now This helm is priceless.I got when I was lvl 41 and still using it (lv47now).

It has 30 min cooldown but it comes handy in zillion situations.

Very good at pvp. You have like 3 charges if you need to catch a runner.Or if enemy swarm over you can knock one down.

In instances its like extra sap ability.
And it saved my ass many times when high lvl tried to gank me .

And last it looks so damn cool.<3 this helm.

After 10 pairs of those crappy running shoes the helm finally dropped. One of my favourite items to date, awesome for getting away from gankers. I found I was able to get in and kill the three dwarfs in about 10 mins without aggroing any mobs.

Let me understand something here. Since everyone thinks that Blizz doesn't want Paladins to have this, I wonder what will happen when Blood Elf Paladins can get this? GG Blizzard... =(

Try checking the box to make all the alliance factions be at war and then see if you can kill him for it.

I'm not sure if it will be worth it because it will probably cost you 5000rep per kill if it can even be done.

At least that's how much AD rep I lost when I killed one of their horses in Ironforge durring the scourge event.

I was able to solo these guys on my first try earlier tonight (BE paladin lvl 41 protection)--not sure if that is possible for any other class lol. I'm thinking about farming this now, want this helm so bad.

I didn't even know this thing existed. Then yesterday on my 2nd run through ulda as my Belf pally it dropped and i was happy because i was the only plate wearer. That is my story for today

I soloed Eric The Swift and his henchmen today with my 43 BElf pally and I am now the proud owner of a pair of worthless BOOTS! I expect they will drop often but I will farm him until the helm drops. I rather farm him solo than have to run the entire instance with competition. No matter how long it takes the Alliance will feel the sting of my horns in PVP. For The Horde !

I am a level 70 protection warrior, still keep this little beauty on me at all times. Its great for instances because if your group is low on CC you can use it for the bigger pulls in the instance as long as they come up only once every 30 mins or so. Also great for PVP as an extra charge if you cooldown isn't ready on intercept or to cancel spellcasting, and gives you bandage time. BTW fizzle doesn't make that much difference on pulls because you can keep trying until it works.

damn...
actually if a BE pally had this he could use it, bubble (eliminates stun) and silence to take out a large group of spellcasters..
i want this thing really badly for BG's because every time i kick someone's ass (and i usually do) the polly/fear/stun and run like hell
i could really use this for the chase down

Didn't know this existed. Found out and decided to farm Ulda for it. Got it on the first run, me and another pally rolled for it but i won. Must be my lucky day. :)

It still drops. Im a level 53 warrior. I have run Uldaman 7 times with group, and about 15 times without a group solo.

Disenchanted the boots, got many Fast run Potions. Then, it dropped. Very usefull if u are questing and an Ally trys to kill you.

Just fear him first, than kill your mob. if mob isnt dead, use your helm. If mob is dead, fight player. When you got low health, use your helm, and bandage yourself. Fight Ally until dead :)

Yeh I got this thang on my paly right at lvl 40. I was so pumped.
Great helm to get after Raging Berserkers Helm, and the charge is brutal and i'm still using it at lvl 48 and probably a little longer.

Me and a buddy stayed up all night playing WoW, i watched since i had no toehr 'good' computer to play it on. My 53 warrior friend was in ST and my 42 druid friend was in Ulda. Ulda droped this helm adn my warrior really wanted it so he and the druid did Ulda 6+ times with no luck. I go on my shaman, aggroing no one, and it dropped first time.

He upgraded from a tanking blue helm to this just for PVP to annoy. The stunn is long, he tried it out and the stunn lasted for a bit, like a sap, we could hit a few times with out it losing the sap so thats even better.

30 minutes isnt long for an effect like that.
Charge + Sap = PVP annoance.

You cant get these as alliance.

From the 3 guys the decent things you get are:
Cimitarra Nórdica Nordic longshank (1h sword)
Capacete Viking com Chifres Horned viking helm (plate helm)
Escudo Versátil do Olaf Olafs all purpose shield

Bad luck for allies considering the shield and helm are useful to carry around at 70.

Helm used to be awesome but it got changed a bit to let players resist out of it, you used to be able to use it to "sap" a lev 60 as a 40 warrior and have plenty of time to run away before it broke.

Helm is basically a warrior charge that does sap in combat with stats that are not too different to the helm from RFD, so yeah it rocks (it even looks cool). Damage breaks the sap effect.

VERY MUCH WORTH MENTIONING! - They both work on Drakks Guards in UBRS for the full 30secs and Ive used on them 50+ times and never resisted.

It drops off of one of the three dwarves in Uldaman. Friendly to alliance, so only hord can get it. For alliance, the Icemetal Barbute is a good alternative.

There really should be some way you can kill people in the same faction.

Befriend a lock. He will show you some ways.

1st time I did this instance, before we all went in, I said the only reason I'm doing it is on the chance I get this helm...

It dropped, couldn't believe my luck! On 4% drop rate!

Then the rogue selected need "by accident". The pala won it on the roll (he wasn't going to need it 'coz he knew how much I wanted this helm). Thankfully it didn't end up sold to an NPC vendor for 23s. If he hadn't the rogue would've got it 'coz he had beaten me on the roll...

I had to do RFD 13 goddam times to get the pl8 chest 'coz of a ninja, and that's a 25% drop rate.

There really should be some way you can kill people in the same faction.

Ah well, I've got 19 out of 25 runs left to do if the drop rate is correct ;(
