I don't mean to complain but shouldn't players who run heroics have a better understanding of itemization? I have ran heroic ramparts 9 times for this and luckily seen it drop twice. However, both times a shaman said he wanted it and won the roll. I know the faster the weapon is the more wf proc's you will get but shamans don't demand a 1.3 / 1.4 attack speed weapon. However, rogues with combat potency are limited too only daggers and at this moment this is one of the best oh daggers out there. So remember shamans / warriors / hunters/ you have many options with oh weapons, we rogues have 1.

I got this last night on my hunter, though I agree, I would never have rolled against a rogue. Our druid didn't want it, so I was able to get it.

PIcked this dagger up last night, being i am a combat -dagger - backstab rogue this dagger is amazing! I'm using Whispering https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=27913 in the main hand and my backstabs are now critting 2100 and upward. Looking to get Malchazeen or Emerald for the MH.

If a shaman rolls on this he is either:

2. A clever ninja who just earned 11g

With the exception of pvp gear, this is the ONLY epic pre-raid off-hand viable for fury wars. Everything else from heroics/badges/rep/etc is too slow or stacked with agility for rogues. Lets list them:

When enchanted with mongoose, this weapon does not display the electrical field effect as with other weapons, rather just the native green glow. Submitted support ticket and GM said they are aware of the issue but had no plans to correct it at this time (stated by GM on 01/18/08).

Mongoose glow doesn't show when the weapon already has a glow, it's the same thing with the Searing Sunblade

As a hunter I would never want this item. No stats on a melee weapon = bad weapon. The attack power minimal comparing it to The Sonic Spear or even S1 2h Axe. This is definitely a rogue's dagger.

You ACTUALLY Eviscerate someone, not just do some dmg. Target is incapacitated, and dies a slow, bloody, gory death. If there is some kind of war medic near by they will in vain try to help, but will only get covered in blood, and then it will zoom in on there face as a single tear drops.

You actually have trouble with warlocks, man, just get an MSA, and Iblis and go hemo, I have yet to be killed in a 1 on 1 fight against a warlock or mage since I respecced from combat.

ok here is how i (a combat dagger rogue) feel about other classes wanting our gear.... STOP i cant use 2h swords or axes so fury warriors n hunters need to back off till the rogues get the daggers. We are very limited in the weapons we can use because we spec to 1 class of weapons (well some of us do) so just respect the fact the we are busting our ass for that drop and chances are you (warriors n hunters) can get some sort of weapon from most heroic instances. plus daggers on hunters make me cry lol they just hang there n get no use such a waste

with this and speccing for the + 10 energy, and the MC armor set with another +10 energy, you could Ambush, Bacstab and eviserate without running out of energy.... probably two or three shot some unexpecting priest.......FINALLY MAGE AAND WARLOCK DEATH! now i can get back at those warlocks who keep fearing me off their buddies!

There's a good way to make money if you're farming heroic badges and primal nethers if no one in the group needs this for an upgrade.

Just spam trade channel and sell it for 300g+, summon the buyer, and let them loot it.

Don't tell me it doesn't work because we just did it.

That's pretty messed up dude. Punk ass hunter. If some awesome epic sh*t with a low drop rate(even without the low drop rate) like this dropped and some hunter needed on it I would be enraged to. A hunter should never need on a melee weapon over a melee class like a warrior or rogue. Just like a melee class should never need on a ranged over a hunter. And I don't give a %^&* if they are some twink you still don't do it. Being a twink doesn't make it right. And the real messed up thing is I guarantee if someone pulled that sh*t on him and needed on one of his ranged weapons when they was a melee class he would pitch a fit. People like that don't like getting served their on bullsh*t. At least there's decent people like that warrior down there. Also I can't wait till I get to heroic on this. Would love to get that weapon. Probably won't though but ya never know.

i always hated hunters, but from now, i hate them MUCH MORE! yesterday, dropped on first run! i was with 2 hunters, and the needed on it?
and one of them won it, and gave me 300 gold... WTF? gonna use that 300g for toilet paper! F*CK HUNTERS! i dont need on their bow, they dont need on my offhand dagger. so simple isnt it? :O nerf hunters. they can ninja everything >_< so now, 8 runs and it will drop again. cuz it dropped at first run. im pissed off.

im a 70 protection warrior, and it dropped for me today. there weren't any rogues so the group let me have it because it was much faster than my old main hand.

Our guild's main rogue just picked this up today, after picking up Blade of the Unrequited from Romulo and Julienne in Karazhan Opera on Friday. Needless to say, she is quite happy with both. Gathering the mats for mongoose on it now lol

Dropped my first heroic Ramparts run a few months ago. Shadowpanther says the drop rate is 1%, but I've seen it (well the group has - it's unique) probably 4 of the ~12 times I've run it on heroic. Speed is very nice for combat rogue and I used it OH until I got my merciless glad OH

Kind of dumb to argue that a fury warrior can use more weapons(yes axes but list a good axe drop besides from prince, yeah there isn't one until much past kara) since if you are deep fury you will be dual wielding if you aren't a complete idiot. Just don't take a fury warrior and a rogue in the same group and it will help for group balance and will avoid arguments.

Unfortunately though when your dps is the most important is when the mob is being tanked, where you won't likely be hit by a critical strike anyways. For hardcore pvp mongers it probably won't be the best though considering it has no stam and as listed above it would waste enrage to an extent but hardcore pvp warriors are usually arms spec anyways.

Regroup with that hunter and then outroll him on a bow/gun. Then he will understand.

Some people are greedy and dont understand what a primary damage vehicle is.

Who gets more out of what. A rogue should never roll over a hunter for ranged weapons. As a hunter should never go for fast daggers over rogues imo.

Warlock rolled on this and won it today...Said it was stupid to use. Damn, it was better than no weapon at all for my Fury spec, but he ignored it and won it. Then DE-ed it...I hope he dies in a car accident

Picked this up a few minutes ago, wasn't expecting it at all. Nowadays the gladiator gear outstrips this, so it's not that great. All the same, high speed daggers are a bugger to come across, so if you're stuck I'd suggest giving this a go.

Very rogue friendly.

Saw this drop twice, first time, a stupid idiot PROT WARRIOR NEEDED IT, but then we did it again, WITHOUT THAT LAME PROT WARRIOR and i got it, put 15 gility on it and WOOOOEEEEE IT HAULS!
