This is a nice item, but useless unless you can make it prior to going into Outlands. You'll shortly get Ancient Crystal Talisman (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=25620 ) and Vengeance of the Illidari (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=28040 ) from quests.

Found the recipe for this while killing naga in azshara - also found 3 golden pearls, around 1 hour of grinding for the lot, not bad at all :)

I'm expecting this to go for a bit at the AH, so I'm holding onto it.

This design dropped in Sunken Temple for me. Sent it to my guild's JC although being BoP I don't think he can redistribute them.

The 'use' has a 5 minute cooldown, and yes, it summons a cute little snake! I love these trinkets.

Samrad's screenshot is outdated -- the little serpent you summon is now a very bright red.

Also, when you click on it, it hisses! Very cute.

When the serpent spawns, it will replace any other non-combat pets you may have out at the time.

I made a 49 twink Shadow Priest for fun, then it became an obsession.

This trinket rocks face in Battlegrounds.

I saw this item and decided to get it even though I didn't have JCing. For Black Dragonflight I would say I spent 700-800gold lvling 0-260 Jewelcrafting for this trinket.

I love the little ruby cobra minion that stands by your side throughout the duration too. :) I always have my King Blacknsnake, Succubus, and sometimes this out at the same time. hehe.

5min cooldown is so great I forget to use it most of the time as I'd expect something like this to be 10-12mins.

I don't think it deserves nerfing however, it takes a lot of work to craft this for yourself if you want to use it in 40s BG.

Like the title says, why? This thing is almost as good as ZHC, ToEP, and all the other trinkets like such. Why should they just GIVE you it, when it takes a lot of work to get anything else even close to it? 90 AP from the Black Figurine isn't much at all, +100 spelldamage can lead to a lot, especially for 20 seconds.

This item will fit my Twink priest more than good im lvl 48 and my mind blast have critted for 1009. and thats not with 30% damage buff <3 i can already fell the pwnage getting closer <3 ER

I decided to pick up Jewelcrafting on my alt when this pattern dropped for me from that giant ape in STV while I was levelling herbs. The stam/int are delicious little passive additions to a friggin' mini-ToEP at 47.

But if I take jewelcrafting to 260, create this item. Then drop jewelcrafting, I want to know if I can still use this item even if I don't have jewelcraftign anymore.

Anybody know if this trinket's effect will stack with the Orc (warlock) Racial Blood Fury? It would be great to know ASAP, if anybody can confirm, would be greatly appreaciated =)

OMFG, doesn't anybody read the item info? It says "Binds when picked up".
If you get all excited to make it and gather all the mats and make it and then try to sell it AH, all without reading the item info, then I think you've learned a costly lesson. Try to learn it with humility rather than advertising your stupidity and trying to solicit sympathy from the rest of us Thottbot users.

This is particularly nice for PoM/Pyro mages. Since activating the trinket doesn't cause global cooldown you can write yourself a macro to activate this and Presence of Mind simultaneously with one button. This is how it should look:

/cast Figurine - Ruby Serpent
/cast Presence of Mind

There's an easy way to add 100 damage to your PoM/Pyro. Here's another useful macro:

/use 13

This one activates your TOP Trinket (/use 14 would activate the bottom one). This is convenient if you swap your trinkets out when they're on cooldown. No matter which trinket you have equipped, you can activate it with the same button. I switch between Golden Hare, Defiler's Talisman, Insignia of the Horde, Ruby Serpent and Jade Owl and I can use whichever one is equipped with one button.
