On New Years Eve 2005 Empty Festive Mugs (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=21174) were given out in major cities, by clicking on a Festive Keg, you filled your mug and received one of these.

These mugs are generally infinite use(sometimes they empty randomly, so bring a few filled mugs as back-up) for the duration of holiday, and give 30 seconds of slowfall when drank, instant-drink. Which means they can be used for non-stop slowfall. With the Filled Festive Mug, one can get on top of the Ironforge Mountain from the Ironforge Graveyard, and safely float to at least halfway across Wetlands, by drinking the Mug again before the slowfall expires, renewing the slowfall.

The same thing can only be done for jumping of Teldrassil. With it, I was able to jump off Teldrassil from Darnassus, behind the Portal. It works too good even. I was hundreds, maybe thousands of feet up when I got the Fatigue Bar that signifies being over deep water. I had to right-click and remove the Slowfall Buff, and fall into the water(which took a while; Teldrassil is very very tall), and quickly swim back to safe waters, before Fatigue killed me.

Theres a video of a guy named Tulvar who used these and Rocket Boots Xtreme to jump from Tempest Keep to Hellfire Peninsula.

These were nerfed this year(Blizzard has a strict stance against any extra little things that make screwing around and having general fun possible) so that when you use them, they become empty.

Combined with the fact that the filled mug is unique, you can't stack a whole bunch of them, meaning you can't do cool things like jumping from Tempest Keep to Hellfire.

Even though the tool-tip says they are unique, they are not. I have 18 in my inventory right now!

when drinking it you also become as light as a feather ... try jumping down thunderbluff you will roll on floor

i once went to the top of the Iron Forge airport and used slow fall all the way to menithel harbor you know the place in wetlands

This screenshot is a bit of a bug with the item, as you are only supposed to be able to get one mug as far as we know. All the ones in this screenshot are actually full.

I can see these as being quite useful in situations where you need to escape and the safest way is DOWN. You can jump from great heights without injury. They can't be sold on Auction House but can be sold to other players. They should be able to be kept in the bank without the 24 hour duration expiring if they work like similar unique items with hour or day durations. For example, I still have rose petals from Valentine's day which had a 3 day duration, only difference with those was that they could be sold at Auction.

It says 24 hour duration, but it seems to reset every time I log out. Eternal source of slow fall, no more spamming nogginfoggers!

I've heard others says theirs don't refresh like mine. It may have had something to do with me picking up one empty mug, filling it, then another, filling it as well. Now you have 2 of the same unique item, which may have bugged it?

This seems to eventually revert back to an empty festive mug that can't be refilled till the following season I am guessing... Destroying it. Was fun while it lasted and it lasted for about a month.

Got this item a few days ago and it's still in my inventory. Used it probably 20 times to jump over mobs and avoid damage from cliffs. The timer seems to reset every time I log off. Best item ever.

Today is the one day you can get them. Try to get a bunch in the hopes of getting glitched out ones you can use all year long.

As of 28/01/2024 (Season Of Discovery), this seems to be fixed and turns into Empty Festive Mug.

RIP Unlimited Slow Falls :(
