This dress is from a pattern which is a reward from a lunar festival quest when you hand in 5 ancestral coins (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=8878). The dress is popular throughout the year, they sell like hot cakes. It's the only colour festival dress that is craftable.

i bought both recipes for 55 each, and i sell the item for 12.99 and 16.99 respectively, the more expensive one being this dress.

they sell, nice and easy money, dont push it though or people wont buy it.

For a banker this goes amazingly with Mana Gathering Staff with a beast slaying enchant on and you have a red glow. Goes perfectly with the dress. I have left a comment on the staff to show Alliance how you can get it (The vendor is horde).

Do You have to be a particular level, because I went and didn't see the Pattern as an option

You must be a certain character level to be able to trade 5xCoin of Ancestry for this pattern.
I do not know the exact lvl, but it is not accesible at lvl46. I assume it is 50.
You do not have to be a tailor, and the patterns are NOT BoP.
However, you do not get the pant suit and dress at once, you have to choose one of the two.

I do not know if you can go back, and choose the other.

does anyone know if there will be a cheaper way to get them later? I have a tailor alt, but my main is only level 38, and there's no way I can grind to 50 before this festival is up. People price them at nearly 100g in the AH, which I think is a tad unfair, but that's me.

im a lvl 60 herb and alch. all i get for options are enginering planes. id Love to own the red dress, yet no one i know has seen them either they as well are only seeing enginer plans.

When you go to turn in your coins the pattern is under the "Festive Recipes" option. Its the fifth one down on Fariel Starsongs list.

I have all of them , red, pink,purple, and green and yes it is true you can get a pink 1. I got them from the lunar festival in moonglade. gotta pay ancestry coins though. They look really chinese lol. Enyone know where I can get a suit? (May have not spelled everything correctly) Good luck!
