me as a 60 paladin is officially farming this sword .. also because the speed looks good for pve tanking too me

not sure wich enchant to add even crusader comes to my mind because of the speed +4 +5 would also add like 2 - 2.5 dps and would rock on a fast blade

well have to get it first to tell a review but won't be too much of a probleme i hope with my well equipped lvl 60 m8s

As a mage I would most definitely give this sword to the paladin in our group rather than take it for myself.

Just wanted to point out one thing that thousands of people overlook when glancing at weapons such as this one.

Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 7.

For some reason noone ever sees the damage part.

Um This Prince Dude... i came accross 2 him and he is Neutral he doesnt attack me... if this Sword Drops from him then that means u have 2 kill him...~ how do u kill him?

... called "The Madness Within" - https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=15931. Go into DM West, talk to the girl NE ghost, kill the mana elementals at 5 pylons to release the Immol'thar. After you kill Immol the Prince will go red and you can get your loot.

Me being a rogue, would never _ever_ roll on this over a caster. Might aswell stop playing WoW if you do, since that would very much mean you're not worthy. There are a dozen other nice weapons for rogues around with rogue stats, why go for one of those rare caster swords with stats that don't help you any bit?

When comparing this weapon with the Energetic Rod you'll realise that the Rod is a lot easier to get.

My guild does a Dire Maul East boss run in less than 25 minutes and this drops often enough for you to get hold of it whithin an hour or two. Dire Maul West is a %^&*! compared to DM E.

The mace has 3 less int and is 0.3 seconds slower but it has 2 more +heal bonus and higher max as well as min damage.

If you are a healadin then this is IMHO the obvious choice (not to mention all the other nice healadin drops that you might get in DM E).

I got Tome of Fiery Arcana from AV but had no mainhand (Still holding out for a Fang of Venoxis). So I did a couple of DMW runs and I got it on the second run! I put +22int on this and it is absolutley stunning looking.

This is very much a Paladin (or other caster) weapon. I have a paladin, and I do magic damage all the frikkin time. You're usually either using Seal of Righteousness or Seal of Command, BOTH of which deal holy damage that is buffed by +damage. We also do consecrate, use judgements, and HEAL, which is also buffed by this sword. This does buff our anti-undead spells, which aren't used as often, but it would still help. This is a very good tanking sword for paladins since their threat is caused primarily through holy damage w/ Righteous Fury on.

Sure there are better weapons, but if I went into DM and this dropped, I would roll, since my current 1h'er is an Iceblade Hacker, which has no stats even if it does havebetter damage.

It's not necessarily BETTER than mind carver, but: same int, +3 spirit, -3 spell damage, you decide. Pallies should most definitely be able to get this because we can't use daggers and anyone who is in DM West but can't solo SM lib is a bad player. I have this on my pally and while it's by no means bad i just wish blizzard would make it at least slightly better than a dagger that drops in a level 35 instance, especially as this drops from the final boss of the dungeon.

well maybe you have a point there...but some of us are shamed when someone inspects us and laughs because we have a lv 34 item :P

plus whenever we actually have to melee, hyp blade sucks...period

It was a guild run and with the exception of one member. Our group had 2 warlocks, a rogue and warrior and i asked if i could roll need on it and so i was the only one that need rolled. It's awesome being in a guild with great friends.

I am a protection spec pally and i was using cold forged hammer / grizlocks shield combo before i got this beauty. I highly recommend this for protection and holy specced pallys. The fast attack speed and stats are cherios for tanking and off healing. Keeping aggro is much better and the +dmg is kudos.

Some one posted a comment about pallys with spell damage and large pools of mana being better at dps?
You my friend are so totaly correct! I'm all mana and stamina gear with 10% increase to intellect(holy tree) with mostly all protection tree talents and i can grab and hold aggro better and quiker than warriors, i dont need strenght.

I have a warrior alt also, tanking with my pally is cake compared to waiting for rage to taunt a single mob and waiting for a cooldown to be able to aoe taunt. Further more the new pally taunt is superior to the warrior taunt, warriors can only taunt one at a time, pallys can taunt 3 at a time. Before the Burning Crusade patch i gave up on pallys as i though we had no real usefulness; like for instance i could not heal as good as a druid, tank as good as a druid and dps as good as a druid - this was insulting because the druid class is hybrid class and is not the best at either of these roles so that means that pallys totally suck! My conclusion was that pallys just sucked so bad and i wasted all my time leveling this joke of a class. What the heck so i rerolled as a warrior,
but now im back on my pally and i can finally tank

Mussashiy - If you are talking about the pic of the troll facing the right (posted by DarkspyreSR), that is certainly not a hunter, and those are nothing at all like the beaststalker shoulders. Trolls can me mages and priests, and I'm fairly sure that is one of those. the shoulders are low profile, and look like cloth to me.

Beaststalker shoulders have huge tusks on them, and can be seen a mile away.

submited a pic of this item, it is also the same graphic that is used for some of the blackhand elites in UBRS in the same room tha the beast is in.
straight on both sides with a half moon carved out ot the tip of it.

Picked this up off the Prince the other day when leaving Dire Maul after getting my dreadsteed. I personally think it's a cool looking blade, and it's definately nice to be a caster wielding something different than a staff. Plus it's good to work up the sword skill with if you are going for the MC mageblade.

Here is this wonderful sword on my 60 'lock. I put a +22 intellect enchant on it, works great.

Ok im no caster, but this seems like a very, very bad item to me.

look at this:
Lâmina Hipnótica dagger, 8int, 3pirit, +9dmg and healing. and its lvl 34.
