This thing is so vastly inferior to the horde version of the reward that it's pathetic. Just shows more of Blizzard's favoritism with Horde.

How this thing compares with Prophetic Cane is beyond me. Sickening...

Actually all of these items (except the axe) blow compared to the horde version of this quest. what a complete joke.

i wonder if this thing and the intellect dagger ``hypnotic blad�� is better then illusionary rod?
or shall i have hand of rigteousness?

I've had the staff from BFD from lvl 28, so once I saw the quest reward I knew just what to combine. The staff i had had 11intelect and 11 spirit. If you do the SM quest to get the Orb of Lorica and combine it with the Hypnotic Blade(drops from the final boss in SM Graveyard) you have great stats. If your holy/disc or shadow spec, it doesnt matter. This combo will add a lot of extra mana for those heals in groups and if ur shadow it will add more mana for spells. TAKE MY WORDS. lol

Right now I am using Hypnotic Blade and Orb of Dar'Orahil. Hypnotic Blade increases my spells by up to 9, while Orb of Dar'Orahil increases my shadow spells by up to 14. Should I stick with those, or choose Orb of Lorica, since it gives a better boost in Intellect and Spirit?

i think the best is to have hypnotic blade and orb of the forgotten seer who drops in graveyard as it gives 12 in damage and healing so forget orb of lorica

Should i go with, Hand of Righteousness, and this, or the Orb of the forgotten seer, which drops in SM graveyard, BTW i'm a priest. I'd use illusionary rod for PvE, but i'm thinking of this combo for healing.

The Orb or Lorica gives a red glow when in your hand. I use it with the hypnotic blade with a +2 beastslayer enchant (red glow). Kinda makes my priest look hawt.

For a healing priest this orb is good with Hand of Righteousness coz the high spir bonus gives a lot of mana regen rate. For a caster I would say Hyptonic Blade and Orb of the Forgotten Seer. But as an answer to the very 1st comment then NO! Don't take the dagger from the Q if ur a priest! IT'S FOR ROGUES! Take the orb ok? Goodie.

I'm using this along with the Hypnotic Blade for my 42 druid - a tasty combo indeed. The two together give about 14-15 int and spi. A big selling point for me was the swirlies when you are running or in combat. I saw a 42 druid in my guild with that combo when I started my druid and swore I'd have it someday. Glad I did and so will you!
