This is a must-get for people planning to twink a gnome character in the 20-29 bracket. Slap a constitution libram on it and you're up 250 hp with a pretty nice ability too. Also of note is that the rocket effect can climb up hills that you wouldn't normally be able to climb such as the cliffs at the WSG graveyards.

so this is unavailable for 29 twinks unless your a gnome is that correct? im an undead rogue trying to get this but it won't let me go past 225 engineering at level 29. does anyone know how to get this in my situation? and if so where do i train it or whatever?

When this fails to work, it will not do the charge effect, It will simply say fizzled. I thought it would still charge but just the stun would be resisted.

I believe that after knocking someone, you are removed from combat so that you can change to a better helm. But i'm not sure about this. May be wrong . . .

it has the same use as Horned viking helmet: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=9394 but i would preffer this its cloth and everyone can use it and the other is plate

This thing, is still very usefull around level 58-ish outlandish, if used correctly with the https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=23827. I used to do this combo alot on my mage while I was around hellfire questing, Used it all the way from 30 to 59 I think. saved my life numerous times vs gankers aswell. Lovely helm, has a spot in my bank forever. Engineering <3

My favorite thing to do with this is to use it on something that is either really really big or really really small. Either way, it is pretty funny looking.

If you use it on a rabbit or a squirel or whatever and someone else is watching, all they will see is something really really funny. They see some random person charge head on at a little bittie critter and WHAM! get knocked over when they hit it.

Another fun one is to use it on giants. Makes it look like a really stupid kind of charge. You charge at this giant monstrosity, expecting to knock it over and BAM! you hit it and get knocked on your butt, while the giant doesn't even flinch. Looks like running into a brick wall!

the graphic of this beaty is really funny... looks like a deepdive helmet with a antenna...

used it not really much...cause im a rogue and stealthing and cheap shoting is better than just knock you and the target silly... but it's fun in duels...maybe also on pvp...

Only if Paladins use their bubble can the knockout effect of the helmet be broken (assuming you don't hit or DoT the guy).

My favorite thing is to duel people when the boat has pulled into a port (usually Menethil), rocket helm them and get on the boat and watch it sail away. Sure they could /forefit but most aren't too bright.

After wanting it madly I went out and farmed the matts for a friendly engineer to make for me - only to find I can't equip it because I'm not an engineer.

Perhaps if I'd looked more carefully I would have noticed that it says you require lvl 235 engineering.

Part of the 1.10 WoW changes removes any tradeskill specialization you might have. If you unlearn Engineering, you will also unlearn your gnomish or goblin l33tness.

THIS HELMET IS NOT BoP. You do NOT have to unlearn Gnomish engineering to use it! Have a friend make one for you. If you must unlearn Gnomish, do it because the death ray blows. >.>

It dosent stun you it incapasitates you just like the rogues gouge or sap. there are no items or spells in the game to free you from this. so its is really a sap (with talents to make you go bk into stealth) that you can use in combat and from range :P sounds damn nice to me. but yes as many rogues know that sap almost never lasts as long as it says so im thinking there is a big chance this will only last about 50 to 75% of the time it says. still owns tho :P and no you cant give this to anuther gnomish eningeer if you read the book it gives you it clearly states multable times that gnomes and goblins keep there engineering sercrets and will never let you join the other engineering type even if you unlearn engineering.

this helm also gives classes that dont have CC (Crowd Control) spells a CC skill :)

as a Rogue, can you Sap your first target and then Rocket helm a 2nd mob without having your first Sap break, thus resulting in 2 CC'd mobs?

Ya, i think it would result in 2 CCs. sounds nice.
i wouldn't think that it would break your sap. Not really sure cuz i am not a rogue.

There are at least thirteen counters to the spell this helm casts (reckless charge), one of them being Berserker Rage (fury warrior), commonly referred to as the "stance dance".

this is kind of amazing.. it is like a sap that works on any creature type without being stealthed and combined with a intercept type of movement. don't worry it isn't overbalanced, it is on a stupid long cool down timer. but is great when you come along three creatures, let your rogue open with sap, and you tag the other one. and the third can be dealt with.

does this one 'stack' with SAP? I mean, could a rogue SAP one enemy, charge the second with this helmet and fight the 3rd for 30 seconds with 2 mobs dazed?

I got this at a low level, and did not use it for it's 'stun' at the beggining, I used it for it's +15 Stamina.

Although, times have changed, and I've outgrown it, although for a while I used it's stun a lot, I still have it on a quick change, because sometimes the situations arrises.

(I've only had to use this, and Sap a few times, although I've never been a fan of sap, and usualy use this in it's stead).

making a 29 twink? forget all your ideas and just make a gnome, this thing is beast, and it will make everyone think 'wtf?' i have a 29 gnome rogue twink and I got the Deepdive Helmet (which still got some 'where'd you get that?'s), but i looked this up and now i HAVE to get it. sure the cd is long but it's also cooler looking then the deepdive one.

this might be a little tough to get though, unless you know someone who is a goblin engineer and would be willing to make this for you. you can't train this if you're 29 (the trainer teaches it at 245) but you can wear it (lvl 235)

Got this yesterday. Traded it with a goblin engineer for a gnomish MC cap (really nice guy, even gave me two star rubies to make it) and I must say this is great for my shaman for both pvp and pve. In pvp it gives you time to heal in one-one fights, you can use it to take out that nasty hunter who protects the flag in WSG or AB or even just to get to you target and bash his head in (though there's no running from a shammy anyway). As for pve... being able to "sap" as a shaman is great when your quest target has nasty guards. This thing makes life easy! I love it.

When sapping it seems players dont stay sapped for the full 30-45 secs it says under sap description. Especially when low level sapping a high level player.

This is GREAT, Works on level 60 characters for the full 30 secs. So when you are being chased down at lev 38 by a level 60 rogue in all epics, hit him with this and you have time to dance with him and still get away.

It says it's Bind When Equipped, and it doesn't say it requires Goblin Engineering, just Engineering 235. So...does that mean Gnomish Engineers can use this?

There's a lot of confusion about this currently. There are basically four types of items that can be made by engineers:

BoE items that can be used by any engineer and traded.
BoP items that can be crafted by a specific specialization, but used by any engineer
Items that require a specific specialization to use.
BoP items that can be crafted by an engineer, but can be used even after engineering is dropped

Gnomish Engineering allows you to craft these items:

If your intent is to switch to Goblin after crafting all the goodies (by dropping and re-leveling Engineering), you should probably craft all of these items, but you must craft Óculos Gnômicos, Frango de Batalha Gnômico, Raio Gnômico da Morte, and Fumacinho (these are BoP) or you will lose access to these items permanently (unless you drop and re-level gnomish engineering again.

Transportador Ultrasseguro: Geringontzan and Aumentador de Mundo cannot be used by a non-gnomish engineer, so you can skip crafting these if you're planning on switching.

NOTE: Raio Gnômico da Morte doesn't require Engineering to use, so technically, you could level Engineering to craft this item, and drop it and still be able to use it.
